Any ACVL Lab or
Associate member (or its employees) is welcome to attend the 2008
conference. Member dues must be current to register. If you have
questions about dues payable, please contact Treasurer Peter Bulcke.
Please note that there is a registration fee
of $110.00 USD per participant before May 1, 2008.
We will require a $25.00 late fee if you
register after May 1, 2008. Spouses of participants do
NOT need to pay any registration fees, but they are welcome to
attend any and all events.
All members are entitled to 2 complimentary
final night banquet seats; if you wish to bring additional guests,
we will require a fee per person of $115.00.
This year, we are arranging tours for members
and/or spouses & guests. There is a nominal fee per person
for participation in this year's optional guided bus tours of
Mexico City on Wednesday, May 28, 2008 (open to all ACVL Members
and guests) and the Mexican Pyramids (includes lunch) on Thursday,
May 29, 2008, an optional program for spouses of participants
and guests who do not wish to tour the Mexico City laboratories.
ACVL non-members can register and attend and
this registration fee is $495 per person, and covers all events,
but does NOT cover optional tours. The non-member spouse or guest
registration fee is $235, which covers all events, but does NOT
cover optional tours.

The conference will be at The Hotel Presidente
Intercontinental Mexico located at Campos Eliseos 218 Planco,
11560 Mexico, D.F, the local telephone number is 5327 7000. We
have a group rate of $165.95 for a single and $170.45 for double
occupancy, which includes all VAT, city taxes, and mandated hotel
service charges due to local labor laws. Each guest will be charged
a bell hop/porter fee upon check-in and departure as well as maid
services due to these local labor union contracts and these charges
account for the single and double occupancy differences. This
rate is valid until May 15, 2008. Optional in-room wireless high
speed internet will be available as will 24-hour/day gym and fitness
room access at the combined rate of $18.00 per night. As an alternative,
hourly per use fees for internet access and usage will also be
available in the business center during normal business hours.
