The ACVL Conference is a formal industry-related business and technical meeting held each year at a different location within North America.

Members, Associates and Off-Shore Members are welcomed and encouraged to attend the ACVL Conference. At this meeting, papers and demonstrations are given by respected industry leaders in their specific fields of expertise.

The 2010 ACVL Technical Conference will be in Washington, DC and Virginia the week of October 4th. The beginning of the conference will be in the Washington, DC area with tours and presentations. We will then proceed to Culpeper, Virginia for technical papers presentations on Friday, October 8th. A tour of the Library of Congress, Packard Campus for Audio Visual Conservation is planned.

August 24, 2010

Dear ACVL members and guests,

We are now six weeks from the start of the 2010 Fall Technical Conference in the Washington, DC area. You still have time to register for the conference, signup for the tours and reserve your room at the Fredericksburg Hospitality House and Conference Center.

In the next few days, I will be sending you a detailed list of the tours of Washington, DC, tours of the NAVCC in Culpeper, VA and a list of our speakers and topics of discussion during our technical papers day presentations in Culpeper. In addition to this information, I will provide links to all of the sites we will be visiting and driving instructions along with any tour transportation schedules you will need to navigate around the beautiful rolling hills of Virginia.

Please don't miss this unique opportunity to visit and tour some of the most state of the art technology to process and preserve our nation's as well as our industry's most fragile and vulnerable imagery.

As always, please check the ACVL website for updates and information.

I hope to see you soon.

Sincerely,
Bob Olson
